Looking for a place to stay! Will write poems for food!

Tomorrow I should be leaving my gracious hosts here in Downtown and looking for a new place to stay, just for a short while, preferably somewhere with power (which, I know, is asking a lot). I have with me two well behaved cats that can sort of acclimate with your other animals. EMAIL ME AT BGKARMA@GMAIL.COM.

My biggest concern, at this point, is being in a place with electricity… My asthmatic condition is kicking in at nights now and I fear my condition will only be worse in my apartment darkened and stuffy without even the artificial wind flow from a ceiling fan and box fan.

As I went out down into Montrose today, 98% of all businesses and homes there are without electricity. It felt good to bike along in, but an actual spot to hang one’s hat for a bit and not miserable, and spend time in—would be nice. To rest, would be nice. The hardest thing, really, is looking out after these kitties, making sure they’re okay. I want for them to be safe. Tonight, Rudra got out onto the balcony ledge and could not find his way back. My friend bravely hoisted himself over the rail, grabbed Rudra by the scruff of his neck and handed him to me.

The storm itself is coming along as a great teacher, and we become its students. How do you sit with yourself? I’m noticing how restless we are and shift from room to room, from here to outside, from bar to bar, park to park. I want to now learn greater patience and sit still.

More later.
